The Postal Service - Give Up
Review by vanilla coek

Never before have I heard such beautiful music as found on The Postal
Service's 2003 'Give Up' album. A 'side project' of Death Cab For Cutie
frontman Benjamin Gibbard, The Postal Service will take you on a trip of
relaxation and mind-numbing excellence.

With mellow electronics and soothing vocals, it is easy to fall in love with
'Give Up'. Listening to this album always calms me down and just makes me feel
good in general.

I first heard The Postal Service after someone referred me to their song 'Such
Great Heights'. I was impressed. After downloading the equally amazing
'Nothing Better' and 'Brand New Colony', I made a special trip to the store just
to buy their album. I have had a hard time listening to anything else since.

'Give Up' has quickly made its way up my favorite albums list. Two weaknesses
hold it back from being a perfect 10 though:

1) There are only ten songs

2) A couple of 'lesser brilliant' tracks: 'This Place is a Prison' and 'Recycled
Air'

Still quite the amazing album, for sure. If you are a fan of music in general
then you MUST check out 'Give Up'. Much like myself, you will not be able to
take it out of your CD player.
