Movie Soundtrack - Queen of the Damned
Review by Senile

I would like to say that this soundtrack is almost perfect except for
the song by Tricky. I do not understand why that put that song on this
masterpiece. It kind of ruins it in a way. I just skip over that track.

First, I would like to say that the music from "Lestat" or should I say John
Davis and Richard Gibbs is just brilliant. It is more than brilliant, is it top
of the line music. The songs "Not Meant For Me", "Forsaken", "System", and
"Slept So Long" are the bomb. These songs could not be improved upon if peoples
lives depended on it. If you saw the movie, you'll have an idea of what to
expect of the music. The songs from the movie though are by far some of the
best metal music I have ever heard. Then, to add onto that, You have songs from
Deftones, Marilyn Manson, Papa Roach, Godhead, Disturbed, Static-X, Earshot, Dry
Cell, and Kidneythieves. Of Course, we all know that Deftones, Marilyn Manson,
Papa Roach, Disturbed, Static-X, and Earshot are good, but what about these
other bands I mentioned?

Well, Godhead is a band that strikes me as something similar to Marilyn
Mansonish. That is good. Dry Cell is somewhat underground right now but I
believe they are going to get big. They have something great going on with
their music and I believe it can get only better. Then Kidneythieves, this is a
good band. Seems like Evanescence meets Kittie with some originality of their
own going on. It is quite a switch up of the normal style but for the better.

Static-X's Cold is not the exact same as off of Machine. DO NOT LET THIS
DEPRESS YOU!!! This version of the song kicks. It is really awesome. It has
more of a goth sound to it, which is all the more worth it on this soundtrack.

As for Tricky, I don't want to say anything about that. I personally think the
soundtrack would have been better without this song.

If you are looking for the closest thing to perfect on a soundtrack, look no
further and buy this cd. You will not regret it.
