I'm not feeling extremely creative on taglines right now, so deal with
it. Linkin Park's first cd, the big debut which caused all of the ruckus and
seemingly changed the way music is now being made. Linkin Park has pulled in a
huge fan crowd and has influenced some other new bands already. Back in the
day, I would have loved this cd to death. Now? I have realized the greatly
true music and appreciate a lot more things and but it all into better
perspective.

Linkin Park titles their debut album Hybrid Theory. Why? I believe because
they think it is a brand new inovation to mix rap and rock. Problem? Ahem...
before Linkin Park came along, there has been lots of rap/rock mixing, whether
it has been different bands or just random songs. Linkin Park's success is
largely accounted for, in my opinion, the lack of swear words, the angst (I
don't mind... hahaha), and the mainstream style of music. The only thing is it
isn't a true mainstream type of music because they do go out on limbs for the
musical style, throwing some interesting electronic mixing in with their
rap/rock "theory".

It is a good debut cd, they have really harnessed one hell of a sound for
starting off. The lyrical depth is pretty much that of struggles and angst. I
like lyrics like this, so if you don't like it, too bad. Their ability to mold
the flow of the music style is good, their rapping is fairly good, and the rock
is pretty cool. The only problem with this review? I am a person who leans
more towards a different music style. Believe me though people, this is a
pretty cool cd. If I'm in the mood to go for something of the not normal stuff,
I'll come looking for this one every once in a while. I just know there is lots
of better music out there but these guys do have talent for their style of
music.

P.S. "Cure for the Itch" is stupid. Whenever you get near that song, make sure
you skip it because it really isn't a song. Apart from that, enjoy.
