Cradle of Filth - Midian
Review by Senile
This whole cd rules! I really don't know how to start to begin talking
about this cd because it is just that good.
First, "At the Gates of Midian" gets your ready for the musical experience of
this album which is cleverly titled Midian. Go figure... Just for an intro
song, this is just awesome. The vocal harmonics, the dark evil sound (just in
case if you haven't noticed, I am into that kind of stuff). Then "Cthulhu Dawn"
ties in with the intro and just slams you with all out heaviness, in your face.
I love the beginning sound of "Saffron's Curse", it is just so damn cool. I can
keep ranting on and on about individual songs but this cd deserves better
attention then that.
The instrumentals, vocals, and electronic sounds on this cd are just so great.
I don't see how anyone would not like it (apart from Dani Filth's style of
singing). As my tagline suggests, I think this cd is truly amazing. The
instrumentals that Cradle of Filth has in their tracks is just nothing short of
astounding. The changes from instrumental and dark to even darker and heavy is
just worth it alone, not to mention the cd in it's entirity. Cradle of Filth
truly have the metal scene going on. They make a mix of dark orchestra sound,
dark ummm... i guess gospel you could say, and not to forget, the heavy metal
just totally the shit.
What else can I say, this cd rules? Not enough. Cradle of Filth rules!!!
about this cd because it is just that good.
