BlutEngel - Black Roses
Review by Senile

Alas, a cd single by BlutEngel, not their only one either. I can't
score this real high since it is just a cd single but BlutEngel impresses me
with their music. It's just that three of the four songs are the same thing, so
it isn't too much of a gain, but it still is.

The track listing is as follows:

1. Black Roses (Single Edit v.2)

2. Die With You (Still Suffering RMX)

3. Black Roses (Opposite Sex)

4. Black Roses (White Light Version)

As always, the have nice electronic work, beautifully crafted into an erotic
gothic music delight. The Die With You remix is great ... the highlight song off
of the cd to me. I think it is comparable to the original with the different
sound that it has, the synths are different and the whole sound of the song is a
mellow depressive erotic ambience. Quite an enticing sound it is. The Black
Roses versions, well Single Edit v.2, I think this is like the original of it
but I have no clue, honestly. I just know that is sounds damn good. The Opposite
Sex mix has a female vocalist, and a more dominant beat, more danceable, and the
synth work is different. The female vocals add a depth into it too. White Light
Version is like a combination of the 1st and 3rd version, and twisted up with a
hell of a lot of originality. Male vocals again, uppity beat, and "haunting"
(more like breath-taking) electronics.

BlutEngel fans will enjoy this cd as much as I do! I hate to give this only a 9,
but I have to be realistic.
