This album in just one word is beautiful. BlutEngel develops there
sound even more since the last album, drops the harshness and develops into a
really dark romantic, goth erotic sound. The lyrical basses upon this album
deals with love, vampires, sin, S&M lyrics, femdom, angels, depression,
lonliness, hopelessness, the consistent questioning of the meaning of life, and
darkness. It all molds together perfectly. Chris Pohl's voice is enchanting
and the female singers are just as much if not more. The music in it's entirity
is enticing and sets you in a trance... a daze, it feels just so right.

The album starts off with an instrumental "Angel Dust I" to set the stage. From
there, the song "Stranded". It is just incredible, the sound is like a hopeless
love sound and the lyrics are fitting perfectly. "I try to touch you but I know
That I'm just stranded in my dreams" "Every night I hear you cry, You suffer
from the pain inside, I try to reach you but I know, I'm to weak to fly to you".
It may seem like just typical kind of angst lyrics but when you hear it, it all
makes perfect sense and has a great balanced harmony. The music is incredibly
smooth flowing, and the beats add interesting flavor. The instrumentals on this
song just have such a beautiful sound. "Vampire Romance part 1" slow developing
song, piano driven with beats. Name of the song is essentially what it is
about. Great duet of back and forth vocals. "The End of Love" holy shit...
one of the most amazing songs I have ever heard. From the beginning and the
downtuned synth to the slow buildup on electronics and the dark ambience
emitting from it, right as the singing starts it touches you deeply. Extremely
depressing kind of lyrics but it is just sooo fucking beautiful of a song. It
is just... words can't really describe. The dark ambience on this track, the
vocals... my goodness it is amazing. Notable lyrics:

"Every night I wake up crying

I feel so helpless

Tell me why did you leave?

And every night I feel like dying

What's the reason?

Tell me why should I stay?"

Listen to the song sometime to hear just how incredible it sounds. "Iron Heart"
picks up the pace again. Loud dominant and fairly fast bass beats and the
"normal" style ambience in the background, which of course sounds amazing. "Our
Time" another very beautiful song. Running out of ways to describe just exactly
how well constructed each song is. So I shall describe what the songs are
about. A duet about how the beauty and innocence of love is gone. How it fades
away and dreams are all that is left. How someone's heart was fragile and the
ignorance had shattered it. The female vocals being the one signing about the
pain. "Wonderland" is composed of female vocals in the song (not to mention
really fucking amazing electronics... sorry about the swearing, just really
beautful). A song about being completely heartbroken and hopeless, how this one
magical person will come along and change your world forever, to take you away
to wonderland and mend the wounds. To change all the wrongs that have been
wrought upon your life. "Black Wedding" I'll be truthful... I don't really
fully understand it but I think it deals with how the girl wishes to be wedded
to the man, then wanting to be taken over to the darkside of life, to the
vampiric world. That's what I get out of it... "I Will Follow" due to the
lyrics and the male vocals, this is obviously a femdom/slave song.

"You're the master I'm your slave

We can reach eternity

Please don't ever let me go

You know I'm your property"

It's a great song and all but I am not really big on the whole femdom thing. I
do not like the idea of one person being more dominant then the other in
relationships, I view men and women are both equals. Love and romance is the
key, not enslavement. If you get a kick out of the whole domination scene...
enjoy your dark pleasure (and the song :p)! I view it upon as me and my love
being each other's property, if you want to use the term property. Touchy
subject with me...

"Angel of the Night" truly beautiful. Absolutely magnificent.

That should hold enough weight right there. I want to sing that to someone in
particular sometime... :)

"Night of Sin" Burning passion... sinful lust. Yet again another incredile
sounding song. Low key verses with a chorus that carries a beat. The other
songs that I didn't make mention of are also very beautiful. "Vampire Romance
part 2" the counterpart to the 1st part. Female vocals on this song, lyrics of
vampire temptation, and the beauty of night.

The bonus disc has the following songs:

"Dark Skies" great instrumental song. "Black wedding
(Dark embrace Remix)" more eletronic and hard hitting remix of the song.
Sounds great (of course :p)! "The end of love (Remix by Black Heaven)" Ummm...
I'm at a loss of words here. The first time I heard this song I was completely
blown away and speechless. Black Heaven remixing a BlutEngel song, for one is
awesome. Second, the ambience changed a little, the adding of a piano was
great, but the guitar added too? OH MY... well yeah. Just wow. The
instrumentals on this song are extremely developed too. "Her Song" interesting
piano ballad, too bad I don't understand it.

Overall, BlutEngel has lost some of their harsh electronic ferocity and added
more of a dark romantic sound which is just too beautiful for words. BlutEngel
is the best music around! Their rich gothic flavor is unmatched... I mean there
might be other bands out there that sound possibly as good if not better but I
have to hear it to believe it. There really isn't anything else I can say
except you have to listen to this yourself to see what I mean. This is
beautifully constructed music.
